Air Conditioning Systems
From 2009 the EU EPBD buildings directive requires that Air Conditioning Systems undergo regular checks to maintain energy efficiency. Such systems include, but not limited to: refrigeration, cooling, design, engineers, service, installation, maintenance, repairs, inspection, installers, Variable Refrigerant Volume/Flow Systems VRV VRF, Heat Recovery, Ducted Systems, Climate Control Systems and upgrade of New and Existing Air Conditioning HVAC Heating Ventilation plant AHU Air Handling Units and controls.
It is recommended that regular air conditioning inspections are maintained and where necessary upgrade of key air conditioning systems by qualified air conditioning installers and air conditioning maintenance personnel are commisioned on a regular basis to maintain operating efficiency.

EPC Energy Performance Certificates in Lancashire
As part of the EU EPBD directive the Energy Performance Certificate or EPC is now fully established as part of HIPs (Home Information Packs) in England and Wales. When selling a home the energy certificate is incorporated into the documents as part of the Home Information Pack.

The introduction of DEC Display Energy Certificates for public buildings is now complete. Unlike Commercial Energy Perfrmance Certificates which are valid for 10 Years from the date of issue a Display Energy Certificate advisory report is required to be renewed annually.
